The Lady Knights hosted Tippecanoe Valley on Tuesday at The Castle as the opened up their 25-26 campaign. After jumping out to an early lead, Norwell led 43-8 at the half and then outscored the Vikings 14-0 in the 3rd quarter on their way to a 67-14 victory. The Lady Knights got scoring contributions from 10 players led by Vanessa Rosswurm with 22 and Macie Saalfrank's 18. Larkin Smith, Ashley Waldman and Alivia all had 6 and Green led the team with 5 steals. Addie Norris paced Norwell with 6 assists. JV Girls also were victorious in their season opener defeating the Vikings 53-27. The JV team had a balanced scoring attack as 9 players scored Tuesday night led by Mallory Young who had 8 points. Additional scorers: Maggi Neuenschwander, Ally Graft & Daisy Swineford - 7 pts apiece, Joycelynn Hogsett-Turner and Avery Thornton each had 6 pts, Addison Parson and Chloe Comer with 5 each and Hadley Meyer with 2. They will host Bluffton on Friday - JV will tip at 6:00 p.m.
