The Lady Knights welcomed #1 Homestead to The Castle on Tuesday night and the two teams didn't disappoint the large crowd. Norwell led by 6 at the end of 8 minutes before the Spartans outscored them 16-9 in the second frame to lead by 1 at the break. The Lady Knights used a strong second half outscoring the Spartans 37-23 to defeat the number #1 ranked team in Indiana 59-46. Addie Norris led the team with 24 points including 3 for 3 from deep. Vanessa Rosswurm added 20 to help the cause and Macie Saalfrank had 12 pts, 7 boards and 7 steals. Jada Dale had 2 pts, Alivia Green 1 and Ashley Waldman led the team in assists. In the JV contest, Homestead led by as many as 11 pts in the 1st quarter however the JV Girls outscored Homestead 36-14 over the next two quarters on their way to a 51-42 win. Mia Kurtz led the squad with 19 pts and Daisy Swineford had 12. Additional scorers: Avery Thornton & Chloe Comer - 5 each, Maggi Neuenschwander & Ally Graft 4 and Joycelynn Hogsett-Turner 2. The Freshman team hosted Southern Wells in a C game. The Knights led by 12 at the half and then turned it up to win 49-14.
