The V/JV Girls Basketball teams traveled to Indy on Saturday for a matinee against Cathedral and came home with a pair of wins over the Fighting Irish. In the Varsity game, the Lady Knights came out strong in the 1st quarter and were able to build a 19-point lead after 8 minutes. They proceeded to outscore Cathedral 30-12 over the next two periods to dispatch the Fighting Irish 65-23. Vanessa Rosswurm led the scoring with 22 and Macie Saalfrank was right behind her with 18 pts and 7 steals. Jada Dale added 8, Bella Swineford had 6 pts and 7 boards, Alivia Green scored 6, Haley Williamson 3, Daisey Swineford 1 and Addie Norris 1 with 4 assists. In the JV game, the Knights only led by 1 at the end of the 1st quarter before outscoring Cathedral 21-2 in the 2nd period and building a lead they wouldn't relinquish as they won 54-32.
