On a snowy Saturday evening at LaPorte HS, the Lady Knights played for their 1st 4A Semi-State Championship against the McCutcheon Mavericks. The Knights who have taken down Ft, Wayne Wayne, Homestead, Ft. Wayne Snider and Crown Point battled a tough Mavericks team to a 12-12 tie after the 1st and a small 7 point lead at the half. Following a low scoring 3rd quarter, the Lady Knights opened the 4th and jumped on McCutcheon early to open a 46-30 lead they would never let go of as the won 59-42 for their 3rd straight Semi-State Title and Coach Thornton's 500th Career Victory. They will face Center Grove next Saturday at Gainbridge for the 4A State Title! Let's Go Knights!!!
