The Norwell Knights traveled to Columbia City for a NE8 clash with the Eagles at the Birdcage. Norwell got off to a good start and led 13-8 after the first period and held a 3 point lead at the half going to the locker room up 22-19. Columbia City took the lead in the third outscoring the Knights 11-6 in the period and had the lead up to as much as 8 points before Norwell rallied to get back in the game. Dekota Hubble hit two free throws with less than 10 seconds to play and the defense held up as Columbia City missed a shot at the buzzer. Norwell walked out of the Birdcage 2-0 in conference play. The Knights were led by Makenzie Fuess with 18. Kennedy Fuelling had 14, Vanessa Rosswurm scored 9 points and led the team with 9 rebounds. Annabelle Johnson and Dekota Hubble each scored 2 in the winning effort. Next up will be a home game against Woodlan on Tuesday.
