The Boys Basketball team hosted Blackhawk Christian on Saturday night. The Knights won two of the the three games, however the BC varsity doubled up the Knights in the night cap. Freshman: Norwell 42 - Blackhawk 19 Individual Highlights - Cade Thornton led with 14 points and Trey Privett poured in 13. Jack Richardson & Wyatt Cliffton each had 4, Max Ward contributed 3 and Palmer Krug and Bradyn Huffman had 2 apiece. JV: Norwell 46 - Blackhawk 33 Individual Highlights - Nick McBride 18 pts, Brady Smith 7, Garry Riley 6 and Drew Jolley 5. Varsity: Blackhawk 72 - Norwell 36 Blackhawk Christian came calling on Saturday night and they jumped out early on the Knights and kept their foot on the gas. Leading 15-7 after the first, the Braves increased that lead to 15 points at the half and then outscored the Knights 38-17 in the second half for the 72-36 victory. Knights will be at home on Friday against DeKalb in their NE8 conference opener.
