The Girls Soccer team welcomed Columbia City on Saturday for an NE8 match-up. The JV teams played to a 0-0 tie in a single half of action. In the varsity match, the Knights prevailed by a 3-2 score to even their NE8 record at 1-1. The Knights got goals from Shae Brooks, Grace Mann and Ridley Sheets. The Girls team will be at Bellmont on Tuesday with the JV starting at 5:00. Individual Highlights: JV: Strong defense by both teams. Played to a 0-0 tie. In the goal for Norwell JV was Emma Garner and Shae Brooks. Varsity: Grace Mann scored a goal assisted by Addison Roembke. Grace also set up a penalty kick goal by Ridley Sheets. Shae Brooks scored the first goal for Norwell. Freshman Maggie Neuenschwander was in the net for Norwell and put in a strong effort. Next Event: Norwell Lady Knights JV and Varsity will travel to Bellmont for an NE8 match on Tuesday 3rd. JV will play first with a ½ game beginning at 5pm for ½ game. Varsity will follow at approximately 5:45pm.
