The Girls Basketball team headed to Huntington North today to play in the 3A Semi-State. In the opening game, the Lady Knights took on Delta and led 32-29 at the half. They followed that up by outscoring the Eagles 21-9 & 21-6 in the 3rd & 4th quarters to win 74-44 to advance to the championship where they would face NE8 opponent Columbia City. In the Championship game, the Knights led 19-10 after 8 minutes and extended that lead to 13 points at the break. A 16-12 third quarter built a lead that CC couldn't overcome as the Lady Knights won the 3A Semi-State 61-53 to earn their 2nd trip to the State Finals next Saturday. The Lady Knights have earned that trip with victories over three NE8 opponents in the past three weeks and look forward to the opportunity to face the Greensburg Pirates at 6:00 at Gainbridge Fieldhouse next Saturday night.
