The Varsity Softball team hosted NE8 rival Bellmont on Thursday and sent them home on the short end of a 12-4 game. Bellmont scored twice in the 1st inning and from that point on the Knights took control of the game. In the bottom of the 2nd, Mia Kurtz hit the first of her two HR's to put the Knights ahead and they never looked back. Kayla Watkins pitched all 7 innings for the win. Offensively the Knights were led by Kurtz 3-3 with 2 HR's, 5 RBI's & 2 runs and Kara Brown 3-4 with 3 RBI's & 2 runs. Wagner went 2-4 with a HR, Teagan & Makayla were 2-3, Leah Werling went 2-2 and Hayden & Kaydance each had a hit. They take on the Cadets tomorrow at Concordia @ 5:30.
