The Girls Soccer team hosted Southern Wells in JV action and the Wayne Generals for the varsity match. The Knights won both matches as the JV topped the Raiders 6-0 and the varsity girls won 9-0. Varsity: Grace Mann Scored her career 100th, 101st, and 102nd goal on a historic night for the Norwell Community. Grace also added an assist for Norwell. Aubrey Meyer had a great game scoring 3 goals and adding an assist. Hallie Smith, Leah Randol and Kayleigh Hartup added goals for Norwell. Ryleigh Huffman, Daniela Claudio, and Olivia Daniel added to the scoring with each having an assist during the game. Abby Wagner and Emma Garner were in the goal for the Norwell shutout. Norwell’s defensive had a great night led by Grace Mann, Haley Williamson, Addison Parsons, Adrienne Wagner and Hallie Smith. JV: Sophomore Layla Frisch was serving up assist with 3 on the night. Goal Keeper and field player Maggie Neuenschwander led Norwell with 3 goals. Kaylee Bennett added 2 goals and assist. Emma Lenwell added one additional goal for Norwell. Kyndal Fuller and Anna McBride contributed to the great team effort with one assist each. Defensively, Norwell had great nights by Avery Elmore, Kyndal Fuller, Jillian Smith, Kaitlyn Collins and Kenley Fisher. Next Event: Wednesday Sept 10th: Norwell Varsity will travel to New Haven for an NE8 match beginning at 6pm.
